Sunshades

What are sunshades?  Sunshades provide sun control with woven fabrics reducing solar heat gain and glare while providing vision to the exterior. Open basket weave fabrics are available is several openness factors (density) and colors so any application can be tailored specifically to meet your needs. MechoSystems Systems pioneered the use of this unique window covering over 30 years ago.

How do sunshades work?

Manual shades operate on an aluminum tube (roller) with a beaded chain driven system which allows the fabric to stop at any position. Features include Snap-Loc fascia to cover the roller and hardware and a spline for easy removal and re-attachment of the shade cloth.

ElectroShades (motorized) offer the same characteristics as the manual system but incorporate a motor inside the tube. ElectroShades can span very large window openings and are ideal for conference rooms, atriums, and clerestory windows. Several control systems are available ranging from a simple wall switch to sophisticated computerized operation. Any level of flexibility can be achieved to produce uniform appearance while maintaining architectural design.

Blackout Shades-while sunshades provide glare and heat control, blackout shades prevent all incoming light from the exterior windows allowing complete blackout conditions. This is necessary for training rooms, conference rooms, classroom or any area where audio and visual presentations are taking place. Blackout shades can be motorized and manually operated, as well as interfaced with audio/video presentation systems.
