Since 1990, Mike Bono has worked with architects, owners, and general contractors to ensure they select the right flexibility and daylighting products for their projects. Mike and his brother Nick Bono Jr. have owned and managed Abbey-Simons since 2005, expanding its offerings and establishing it as the go-to regional resource for architectural product expertise. He received his Bachelor’s Degree in Finance & Economics from Rockhurst University.
The reconstruction of the Docking State Office Building in Topeka, Kansas involved a unique combination of original elements and new, modern additions - including operable walls to provide flexible use of space. Abbey-Simons worked with the general contractor to identify the right products for this prominent space. Multiple Skyfold Mirage operable walls divide working space from public space, while also providing transparency.
