Since 1990, Mike Bono has worked with architects, owners, and general contractors to ensure they select the right flexibility and daylighting products for their projects. Mike and his brother Nick Bono Jr. have owned and managed Abbey-Simons since 2005, expanding its offerings and establishing it as the go-to regional resource for architectural product expertise. He received his Bachelor’s Degree in Finance & Economics from Rockhurst University.


Currently under construction, the Northland Workforce Development Center is a 145,000-square-foot educational facility focused on preparing young adults and adults for high-demand careers. The design by Clark & Enersen is based on eight years of research into best practices and listening to community needs. In addition to roller shades and Claridge visual display boards, the Northland Workforce Development Center also includes a Skyfold Zenith 51 operable wall in the auditorium and a Modernfold Premier Series operable wall in the Health Lab.
